Hey Guys! Welcome to my blog! My name is Molly and I am fourteen years old; I am one of nine and a freshman in high school. I have a passion for all things cosmetic-makeup, hair, nails. So this is where I will share my ideas and looks! So let's get started!
So today I tried something new. I am a natural redhead and I have never dyed my hair. A couple of summers ago, my hair got really blonde from being in the sun all the time. And it always gets lighter in the summer, but this year it was just really pretty. So, I wanted it to get like that again. My mom suggested highlights-which I've always wanted to try- but I was a little scared to a) dye my hair and b) that it would look awful. But I finally decided to do it. However, my hair is thick-like super, ridiculous, rope thick that I cannot even describe the struggles of- and it is long, like down to my ribs. So long story short is that in order to highlight my hair it would be $120. Yeah. And we didn't just have that money lying around for me to take and get my hair done. So I came up with something on my own and here's what I did!
Easy way to naturally lighten natural red hair:
Home-made cinnamon mask!
Here's what you need:
Cinnamon
Conditioner-particularly sulfate free
So make sure you have enough cinnamon for your entire head!
First, make sure your hair is nice and clean. Shower, shampoo it and DO NOT FORGET TO CONDITION IT. This is sooooo important! The cinnamon can be damaging to your hair if you don't have it properly nourished. Then when you are out of the shower, towel dry your hair until it is damp. Next, take however much conditioner it takes to cover your entire head-which, for me, is a ton- and add an equal amount of cinnamon and swirl it together. Then slather it from root to ends. When you are done with this, flip your hair over and repeat the step above. Then flip it back and brush it and repeat with your hair flipped. Then put your hair in a bun and put a shower cap on. (cling rap works too- just make sure it's secure.) Then, sleep on it! When you get up in the morning simply rinse it out with a little shampoo and voila! Brighter, lighter natural red hair :)
Please comment if you liked this post- I doubt I will get any readers but it is my dream to be a cosmetologist so it would mean a lot if anyone read this and liked it! Let me know! I would also love to start a youtube channel someday! Thanks for reading!
